What's new in Pickup. We ship improvements regularly — check back for updates.

Version 1.4.0

August 2026

Your agents now speak 50 languages

  • Every call still opens in English — in the English of the customer’s own region — and your agent now offers that customer’s own language in her very first reply, switching into it the moment they take it up. Germany gets English and German, Mexico English and Spanish, the UK English on its own. There is nothing to configure: the language follows the customer, and your plan.
  • Which languages you get climbs with your plan. English, Spanish and Arabic on every plan, Free included; German, French, Italian, Dutch, Flemish and Portuguese from Starter; fifteen more on Pro; all 50 on Growth and above. Your Agents tab shows exactly what you have today and what the next plan adds.
  • Countries that really do speak several languages are handled properly. A Swiss shopper is offered German, French and Italian; a Belgian, Flemish and French — unless they browsed your storefront in one of them, in which case she offers just that one and keeps the call short.
  • An opt-out is now understood in all 50 languages rather than three. “Rufen Sie mich nicht mehr an”, “nemojte me više zvati”, “もう電話しないでください” — she apologises, ends the call, and that number is never dialled again. The check runs every language on every call and ignores what the speech recogniser thought it heard, so an opt-out is never missed because it was labelled as the wrong language.
  • Import is fast again. It brings your catalogue and policies in as English and hands the page straight back, and the translation into every language your plan includes carries on in the background afterwards — you can close the tab, and it resumes next time you open Pickup. Your agents answer in English from the moment the import finishes, and in each other language as it lands.
  • Arabic is unchanged: a shopper whose name or address is written in Arabic is still called by a native Arabic-speaking voice who opens in Arabic, on any plan, wherever they live. Emails are in English for every customer.

Version 1.3.1

August 2026

Anna asks better questions, and Maya writes up her calls

  • Anna now opens with what you actually sold them — "it's been a while since you got your candles" — and then asks the question the whole call exists for: how that order went, and what made them stop. She listens to the answer and repeats it back before she offers anything, and the reason lands in your call log in their own words. Previously she could only say "it's been a while", which gave her very little to work with.
  • She has something to say even with your win-back discount switched off. Instead of a vague "we'd love you back", she invites them to see what's changed since they last ordered — and if what they tell you is a complaint, she drops the offer entirely and passes it to your team rather than trying to paper over it.
  • Her daily limit is now yours to set, and it counts conversations rather than dials. Set it to 25 and Anna keeps dialling until 25 people have actually picked up — calls that ring out or reach voicemail don't use one up, because they cost you almost nothing. She spreads the work through the day rather than calling everyone at once, and still never rings the same customer twice inside 90 days. Set it higher than 25 and her card tells you what that's likely to cost in credits before you save.
  • Maya can email you a write-up after every call she answers: who rang, how long, what they wanted, the questions they asked in their own words, and the full transcript — sent the moment the call ends. Add an address on her card in the Agents tab. Useful for a number nobody is sitting next to.

Version 1.3.0

August 2026

Two more agents, and every agent gets its own controls

  • Anna calls customers who bought before and have gone quiet. She asks how the last order went, listens for the reason they stopped — often something you can fix and would never otherwise hear — and can bring a welcome-back code. You set how long "quiet" means, and she never calls the same customer more than twice, ever. Growth and above.
  • Ellie calls about a week after an order arrives and asks how likely they'd be to recommend you, out of ten, and why. The score is written to the customer's order in your admin so you can segment on it; the reason lands in your call log in their own words. She never sells, and she never pushes for a higher number. Growth and above.
  • Both can put a discount in writing. Whatever code they give on the call is emailed straight afterwards, so nobody has to write it down mid-conversation — and they still say it out loud, spelled letter by letter.
  • Every agent now has its own settings on its own card in the Agents tab: Lilia's closing discount, Anna's quiet window and win-back code, Ellie's thank-you discount. A setting that only affects one agent now sits beside that agent instead of in a shared list.
  • Ellie can thank people for their time with a discount you choose. She mentions it up front so they know why she's asking, but only gives it after they've answered — and never suggests the answer has to be a good one. Off by default.
  • A full in-app guide explains all four agents, every setting, and what a call costs. Add inbound or move up a plan and a card on your Dashboard points you at the part that covers what you just gained.
  • Alice can now change your agents for you. Ask her to turn Anna on, set Ellie's thank-you to 10%, or widen Anna's window, and she'll do it once you confirm.
  • Your agents introduce themselves properly to call screening. When an iPhone or Android screener picks up instead of the person, they now say who is calling and why, so fewer genuine calls get blocked.
  • Filter your call log by agent, once you have more than one working.
  • A clearer app throughout — bigger numbers where the numbers matter, and every figure, label and column lined up.

Version 1.2.0

August 2026

Inbound calls — Maya answers your phone

  • Add a phone number to your store and Maya, a second AI agent, answers it. She looks up the caller's own order, answers delivery, returns and product questions from your store's real policies, and helps anyone who was trying to buy and got stuck.
  • She only ever discusses an order she can match to the number the person is calling from — she won't read out an order someone else's number placed, no matter how the caller asks.
  • Honest about her limits: she can't process refunds, cancel or change orders, so she says so and passes it to your team by email rather than promising something that never happens.
  • One number per store, never shared. US and Canada for now. US$5/month on Pro and above, on top of your plan; call time uses your existing credits at 1 credit a minute, and a call is capped at what your balance can cover.
  • The same languages your plan gives your recovery calls — she switches the moment she hears one.

Version 1.1.0

July 2026

Referrals

  • A new Referrals tab: every store gets its own share code on install. Pass it to another store owner, they type it on their Referrals page, and both of you earn credits — each priced on your own plan, so neither side changes the other's amount.
  • Credits are paid once the store you referred completes and is charged for its first real recovery call, not when the code is applied — so a referral only ever pays for a store that actually uses Pickup.
  • Milestone bonuses as your referrals add up, with progress and payouts tracked on the page.

Version 1.0.0Launch

June 2026

Pickup is live on the Shopify App Store

  • AI voice agent that calls shoppers who abandon checkout, handles their objection in a natural conversation, and emails their checkout link to recover the sale.
  • Trilingual — the agent speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic and matches each shopper's language automatically on the call. (Emails are sent in English.)
  • Knowledge base built from your products, prices, and policies, so the agent answers from real data instead of guessing; one-click product import on every plan.
  • Recovery discounts — the agent can create a unique, single-use code on the call as a closing nudge, or run discount-free.
  • Compliance built in — calling hours in each shopper's local time, no-answer retries hard-capped at three, and a Do-Not-Contact list that honors opt-outs instantly.
  • Dashboard with recovered revenue, conversion rate, and call outcomes; a Calls log with full transcripts and per-call recordings on higher plans.
  • Credit-based billing through Shopify — monthly plans plus one-time top-ups that never expire, with a weekly recovered-revenue cap as a spend guardrail.
  • Alice, the in-app assistant, answers questions about Pickup and your account in seconds.
